Dry Granulation
Dry Granulation covers SINOTHERMO's oscillating and dry compression granulators that build granules from powder without added liquid. This suits moisture- or heat-sensitive formulations that can't tolerate liquid binder, cutting the drying step wet granulation would otherwise require.

YK-Oscillating Granulator
Categories: Granulator and Extruder
Efficient, Versatile Oscillating Granulator:
The Oscillating Granulator uses a special back-and-forth motion to softly turn moist powder into even, round granules. Variable oscillation frequency and amplitude allow precise control of particle size and density, in a compact design with simple operation and low maintenance requirements.
- Input:
- Moist powder mixed with a binder
- Output:
- Wet cylindrical granules
- Type:
- Dry Granulation, Wet Granulation
- Additional Feature:
- Mixing

GKDH-Dry Compression Granulator
Categories: Granulator and Extruder
Additive-Free Dry Granulation Process:
Dry raw materials are compressed under pressure to form solid flakes, which are then processed into granules of the desired size — forming granules through pressure alone, with no liquid binder or added moisture.
- Input:
- Powder
- Output:
- Solid Granules
- Type:
- Dry Granulation
- Additional Features:
- Crushing, Screening
Compacting Powders into Granules Without Added Liquid
The YK oscillating granulator and GKDH dry compression granulator both build granules from dry powder without added binder liquid — the oscillating unit breaking pre-compacted dry cakes into granules, and the dry compression unit roller-compacting fines directly into granules.
When Dry Granulation Is Preferred Over Wet
Moisture-sensitive or heat-sensitive formulations that can't tolerate liquid binder or subsequent drying. Formulations where added liquid would risk unwanted chemical reactions between ingredients. Fewer processing steps than wet granulation, since no drying stage is needed after granule formation.
