A Vacuum Paddle Dryer with Hollow Wedge Agitators
SINOTHERMO's vacuum paddle dryer — a hollow paddle, indirect-heat conduction dryer — dries liquids, slurries, pastes and mashes into powder using heated, wedge-shaped hollow paddles that both agitate and heat the material under vacuum. The heated paddles add conduction surface beyond a rake dryer, so drying is faster and more efficient for flammable, solvent-wet and heat-sensitive products.
- Wedge-shaped hollow paddles carry heating medium inside, adding conduction surface on top of the jacket so materials heat and dry faster than in a conventional rake vacuum dryer.
- The rotating paddles constantly mix and turn the batch, renewing the heated surface, preventing crusting and giving uniform drying to 3–10% moisture.
- Vacuum lowers the evaporation point so drying runs at a 50–200°C heat source, protecting heat-sensitive products and enabling organic-solvent recovery.
- The sealed, low-oxygen vacuum shell safely dries flammable, explosive and solvent-laden materials that cannot be dried in open air.
- The wedge paddle profile provides mild crushing and a self-wiping action that limits buildup and delivers free-flowing powder.
