Os leitos horizontais (XF) são adequados para tempos de residência mais longos e maior vazão contínua. O modelo com mistura (GFG) é útil quando os materiais precisam ser misturados durante a secagem para evitar a segregação. O auxílio vibratório (ZLG) ajuda com materiais propensos à fluidização irregular ou à formação de crostas.
