A Double Cone Rotary Vacuum Dryer for Low-Temperature Mixing and Drying

SINOTHERMO's double cone rotary vacuum dryer — also known as a rotocone or conical vacuum dryer — rotates a double-cone shell to tumble and dry powders and granules under vacuum. The angle-free interior and rotating action mix the batch while a heating jacket dries it at low temperature, suiting organic-solvent-wet and heat-sensitive materials.

The full shell rotates to tumble the batch continuously, combining mixing and drying in the same vessel.
The double-cone shape has no internal corners or dead zones, so material discharges cleanly and residue buildup is minimized.
Vacuum lowers the evaporation point, allowing drying at a heat source below 200°C — suitable for heat-sensitive powders and granules.
The sealed vacuum environment can process solids wet with organic solvents, supporting solvent recovery where required.
Slow rotation blends the batch gently as it dries, reaching a final moisture content below 5% without high-shear agitation.
