The Vacuum Horizontal Disc Dryer has a large-area jacket for heating and hollow disc stirrers that enhance the heating surface. It performs better than rake and paddle vacuum dryers in heating efficiency for many materials, is suited to low-temperature vacuum operation, and is ideal for handling flammable, explosive, organic-solvent-based and heat-sensitive materials.

A Vacuum Horizontal Disc Dryer with Hollow Disc Stirrers
SINOTHERMO's vacuum horizontal disc dryer combines a large-area heating jacket with hollow disc stirrers that add extra heating surface as they rotate, drying liquids, slurries, pastes and mashes into powder under vacuum. The added disc surface gives higher heating efficiency than rake or paddle vacuum dryers for many materials, while the sealed vacuum environment suits flammable, explosive, organic-solvent-wet and heat-sensitive feeds.
- Rotating hollow discs carry heating medium inside, adding conduction surface beyond the jacket alone for faster heat transfer into the batch.
- The added disc surface area gives greater heating efficiency for many materials compared with rake or paddle vacuum dryer designs.
- Vacuum lowers the evaporation point, allowing drying at a 50–200°C heat source range that protects heat-sensitive products.
- The sealed, low-oxygen vacuum shell safely dries flammable, explosive and organic-solvent-wet materials that cannot be dried in open air.
- Disc rotation stirs the batch continuously and provides mild crushing, helping produce free-flowing powder at 3–10% moisture.
