
FLP-Wurster Fluidized Bed Granulation Coater
All-in-One Mixing, Granulating, Coating, and Drying
After the main material forms a fluidized bed at the bottom, granules are created with the aid of adhesive sprayed from the top nozzles in the granulating chamber. Subsequently, coating material is sprayed onto the granules from bottom or side nozzles within the chamber for effective coating.

A Wurster Fluid-Bed Granulator and Coater in One Chamber
SINOTHERMO's Wurster fluidized bed processor — also called a fluid bed granulator, bottom-spray coater or spray granulation unit — fluidizes powder, granules or pellets and sprays adhesive or coating liquid onto them in a single chamber. It handles wet granulation, film and layered coating, drying and cooling for pharmaceutical, food and chemical producers who need uniform, low-moisture granules.
- Mixing, wet granulation, coating, drying and cooling run in the same fluidized bed, cutting transfers and cross-contamination between separate machines.
- Bottom and side nozzles apply coating material as particles recirculate, producing an even, layered film ideal for taste-masking, sustained release and moisture barriers.
- Top nozzles spray binder onto the fluidized powder bed to build uniform, free-flowing granules with controlled size and density.
- Integrated fluid-bed drying takes finished granules to a consistent 3–5% moisture, ready for tableting, filling or packaging.
- Air-suspended particle movement treats heat- and shear-sensitive materials gently.
